Gugulethu Mbatha (better called Gugu-Mbatha-Raw) is a British actress and film star known for her role in the film industry when she was a part of a show called 'Doctor Who' the British Sci-fi television show that was telecast by the BBC. Gugu was famous due to her character Tish Jones. It was the sister role played by Martha Jones. Gugu was set to pursue acting as a profession because the audiences fell in love with the joy of her personality. In addition, she was a part of other British stage and TV productions. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all aired her stand-up performances. In 2010, it was announced that she would be hosting this year's MTV Video Music Awards. By doing this, she became the first female host to host the awards, following Roseanne.
